There are a lot of means of travelling: by sea, by plane, by car, on foot. Tastes differ. All means of travelling have their advantages and disadvantages. And people choose one according to their plans. No wonder that one of the latest means of travelling is travelling by plane. It combines both comfort and speed and you will reach the place of destination very quickly. Before boarding the plane you must check in at the airport. You are required to have your baggage weighed. Each passenger is allowed 20 kilograms of baggage free of charge. But if your baggage is heavier you must pay an extra charge. Before the plane takes off the stewardess gives you all the information about the flight, the speed and altitude. She asks you to fasten the belts and not to smoke. She will take care of you during the flight and will help you to get comfortable in your seat. Inside the cabins the air is always fresh and warm. During the flight you can take a nap or have a chat, you can read and relax. In some planes you can watch video or listen to the music.

1. Прочитайте, перепишите и письменно переведите следующий текст.

To be sure, the mining industry has been environmentally slow.
Although great strides have been made, the mining industry generally has been very slow to do a better job.
Toward a Solution
The solution to this problem is to develop new approaches to mining that, individually and collectively, serve to reduce dramatically its impacts – while at the same time improving its efficiency and economics. Economic improvement is critical, because if impact reduction does not involve economic benefit it will not be willingly and widely adopted. Fortunately, there are a number of promising strategies for reducing mining's impact and improving its balance sheet. For example:
Identify and Develop New Mining Methods.
It is not hard to envision new methods of mining that would have less impact on the environment and would reduce or eliminate scarring of the land. For example, perhaps techniques as diverse as directional drilling in the petroleum industry and for that matter laparoscopic surgery in medicine could be applied to recovering valuable metals and minerals while dramatically reducing the amount of rock that must be moved. At the very least such an approach is suggestive. Take a systems approach to planning projects. If projects are planned from the outset with a low impact perspective, it should be possible to avoid problems or turn potential problems into assets. For example, open pits can be used as lakes or reservoirs if a project is properly planned. Perhaps post-recovery uses could be found for underground mines if such uses were taken into account at the design phase.
Create an Environmental Certification Agency for New Mining Projects.
A key objection to mining from the environmental industry is that they have little faith in the outcome of mining operations. A certified project would eliminate doubt. Approved projects could proceed faster, thereby rewarding good mining practices. It's time to make mining work in the environment.

помогите пожалуйста перевести текст срочно нужно (((((( Ok! Youre on your own here. Theres no Mummy doing all the searching for you and asking

all the right questions. So how on earth do you find a house? Don’t panic: everyones in the same boat. You need to begin by making a list of what you want in a house. For instance, do you want a bath or will just a shower be OK? Do you want a washing machine( my advice-YES- launderettes are a nightmare and you cant afford to have things cleaned for you ). Are you OK with sharing a bathroom or do you want an en suite of your own? You also need to think about where your house is located- bus and train fares can add up to a lot of money.

Secondly, make sure you take with you a list of questions you want to ask. Will you have to pay the rest of the rent if the other rooms aren’t filled? How big is the deposit and will it be returned at the end of your rent? Is there a garden-are you responsible for it? Are the rooms lockable? Is the house in good condition? If the landlord promises to have things repaired, get his promises included in the contract.

There are also a few things you should look our for: what is included in the rent and how much are the extra bills? So if you’ve found a house for 40 a week ,but it doesn’t cover any bills-you aren’t going to save money, especially if the other rooms are empty
