Stonehenge is included into the list of world heritage stone megalith (cromlech) in Wiltshire, England. Is about 130 km to the South-West of London, approximately 3.2 km West of Amesbury and 13 km North of Salisbury.

One of the most famous archaeological sites in the world, Stonehenge is composed of horseshoe ring and structures constructed of large standing stones. It is located in the heart of the dense complex of monuments of the Neolithic and bronze ages in England. The monument itself and its surroundings were included in the UNESCO world heritage site in 1986 together with Avebury. Stonehenge handed over to the British crown in management «English heritage», while the surroundings belong to the National trust.

Stones, concentrated in the center of Stonehenge, are indicated on the plan color: gray for Sandstone boulders (сарсена) and blue - imported from afar stones, mainly blue stones (bluestone). These stones were probably delivered to the place of the construction of Stonehenge from a distance of 380 km approximately from the Eastern part of Wales, because it is the nearest stone quarry.

In the first half of XX century was restored one trilithon from North-West and rectified support of the Central трилита than was completely changed the view of the complex from the North-West.

The shape of a ring and of a horseshoe repeat the ring without floors and the horseshoe of the blue stone.
