man. Every morning on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday he usually took the seven-forty-five (7.45) bus and started for work. He went to the bank early in the morning as he was an accountant (and by the way, a very good one). He worked hard all day long and returned home rather late. My uncle was forty-seven years old, married and had two children. His wife’s name was Agatha. Aunt Agatha was fond of talking and always talked too much and in a very loud voice. That’s why I think Uncle Oscar sel-dom had much to say. Their two children, Elizabeth and Julian, were not very pleasant. Both of them were large and loud like their mother. And they were selfish and greedy too. They didn’t think about their father much. He was a lit-tle quiet man, who spoke little and went about unnoticed. He liked music but didn’t play any musical instrument. He practically never went to the theatre or to the cinema and he didn’t visit exhibitions or museums either. Uncle Oscar didn’t go in for sports. You could never see him in the sitting room in front of the television watching sports programmes. Uncle Oscar never complained about his boring life. I knew he had a hobby. He had a very good collection of stamps and he was happy only when he worked on his stamp collection. His children took no interest in their father’s hobby. But I, his nephew, did. Uncle Oscar showed me some stamps and ex-plained that they were really very expensive. Then on the 14th of October 1971 Uncle Oscar got up as usual at six-forty-five, made his own breakfast (Aunt Agatha, Elizabeth and Julian were still in bed; they never got up before 8), left the house and went to the bust stop. Some people who were at the bus stop that day didn’t see him at all. The others were not so sure. They couldn’t say anything definite. But that was the kind of per-son Uncle Oscar was: other people seldom noticed him. One thing was certain, he never got to the bank that morning.

It al started as a great Halloween party in the house of her old friend Jenny who lived in scotland. One day Jenny thought that it would be a great
idea to organize a real Halloween party and invite all her classmates. Betty was Jenny's best friend, but at first she wasn't sure about this party. Betty didn't want to see Derek, her ex-boyfriend who had been the soul of their gang at school. So Jenny promised not to invite him and Betty agreed to come.
the party was lovely. A lot of people came from different parts of the world. It was interesting to find out that Simon had moved to France and Gregory and Kate had gor married and left England for Italy. Betty was having a great time when she looked out of the window and was Derek. He was getting out at all and looked as handsome as he had done at school. Betty had no time to fall out with Jenny-she tiptoed out of the living room and ran to her car.
An hour later she still was driving through some rather wild countryside. She was so angry that she had forgotten to take her map, and she didn't know whare she was. It was getting dark, it was raining and a cold wind was blowing. Betty's car was runnig out of pertol. Her best friend had let her down. Betty was scared and tired. She undarstood that she had been lost. Suddenly she saw a light in the darkness and in a minute Betty stopped in front of a little hotel. Next to the hotel there was a very old graveyard with a small church. "This is exactly what one needs on Halloween night. I'm sure the of vampires for the last eight hundred years," Betty thought to herseif as she was looking around. At that moment the door opened and a tall old man came into the light. "The night is cold and wet," he said to Betty and smiled. "Do come in".
As Betty walked in, she was greeted with a warm smile by the hostess. The woman had understood immediately. "What would you like to eat?" she asked. "We've got a fish pie or lamb chops for dinner." Betty didn't mind and in a minute the old man was laying the table and his wife was warming up some food. "Don't worry, darling," the old woman said. "You wont have to eat your dinner alone. Our granndson Derek will be back any minute. He is spending this week with us. This afternoon his classmate Peter phoned and told him about some party which was just round the corner. Our Derek went just to say hello to his old friends, but he won't be long. He is such a lovely young man, our Derek. I'm sure you will like him."

Last Saturday my father,mother,my brother and me (I) went to visit our Granny.She lives in the country not far from our town.She has got a little but very comfortable house.There is a living room,a bedroom,a kitchen,a pantry and a toilet in it.There are a lot of trees and flowers behind the house.And my Granny has got a cat.His name is Tim.On Saturday Granny told us an interesting story about her favorite cat.
One day Granny went to visit her friends.She took Tim in her car.When they came to her friends" house,Tim didn"t like it.And he ran away.Granny didn"t catch him.And she was very sad.
Tim didn"t know the road.He tried to ask people.But his questions were:"mew-mew".People didn"t know what to answer him.The cat was hungry and tired and people gave him some milk and water.
