Весельчак. Когда весельчак вырос и смог смотреть за овцами началась великая ярмарка.Отец детей дал каждому по серебрянному пенни и они поехали на ярмарку. До вечера все дети кроме Весельчака потратили свои деньги. Весельчак хотел купить скрипку и нигде не мог найти её. Он увидел как нищий продаёт старую скрипку с порванными струнами и купил её. Когда о его покупке узнали все кроме матери Весельчака стали смеятся. Весельчак всё время пытался починить струны но они не подходили. Он собрал вещи и ушёл из дома. Он зашёл в долину, люди в ней всё время работали а на вопросы мальчика отвечали что им некогда им надо работать. Только один человек рассказал мальчику что случилось в долине. Он сказал что когда то в долине все были весёлые и правила в долине Леди Беззаботность, но всё изменилось это будет продолжатся до тех пор пока Госпожа Тоска не выпустит прялку из рук.. На следующей день Весельчак починил струны, он так обрадовался , что пошёл играть по долине, затем в замок когда его игру услышала Госпожа тоска она снова стала Леди Беззаботность, Весельчака назначили главным королевским скрипачом.

Paul: I’ll be in a training centre, giving one-to-one tuition to people whose lives might really change for the better. I did one evening a week last term and loved it. Now I have a whole summer.
Katie: Well I will work 7 days a week for most of the summer. And then I am going to the south of France with James and we’ll have the summer holiday of our lives.
Paul: That’s great Katie. Don’t think I don’t approve or even that I am not a tiny bit jealous. I am not a saint and actually in a sense, we are both taking the same option.
Katie: What do you mean?
Paul: You, dear sister, and I are both choosing exactly what we want to do this summer and really, we are making that choice only for ourselves.
