my hero at the moment is ricky;we work together. i was thinking of leaving the place where i work because of our horrible new boss. he is always in a bad mood and he never has a good word to say anyone. he also picks on young female members of staff: there is a girl called kimberley who is terrified of him. or a least she was. when ricky joined us, everything changed. first he covered for me when i was late back from lunch by telling the boss that i was downstairs in the photocopying room. then a couple of days later the boss was standing at kimberley is desk, shouting at her, telling her she was lazy and would have to stay late to finish her work... anyway, ricky marched straight up to him and told him he was a pathetic coward for talking to him stuff like that. well, the boss was stunned to silence- he just walked off without saying another word and he is left us alone since then.

Мой герой сейчас Рики, мы работаем вместе. Я подумывала о смене места работы, из-за нашего ужасного нового начальника. Он всегда в плохом настроении и он никогда не скажет ни одного хорошего слова никому. Он также выбирает молоденьких членов коллектива: это девушка по имени Кимберли, которая напугана им и боится до ужаса. Когда Рики присоединился к нам, всё изменилось. Во-первых, он подменял меня, когда я опаздывала с обеда, говоря начальнику, что я нахожусь внизу в копировальной комнате (ксерокопирую). Затем, через пару дней, начальник стоял у стола Кимберли, кричал на неё, говорил что она ленивая и ей придётся задержаться, чтобы закончить работу, в любом случае. Рики двинулся прямо к нему и сказал ему, что он жалкий трус чтобы сказать такие вещи ему . Да уж, начальник был ошеломлён и тих, он просто ушёл не говоря ни единого слова и оставил нас в покое с тех пор.
