Парк имени Кирова.В Кирове немало парков и скверов, есть куда сходить на прогулку, но парк имени Кирова одно из самых любимых и популярных мест отдыха для жителей города.Парк имени Кирова располагается в центре города.После Второй мировой войны в Кирове появился Октябрьский проспект, который стал своеобразной границей городского массива. Город рос и в 50-60 годах началась активная застройка на запад от проспекта.
Прямо возле него на месте прежней Соловьевской слободы было решено разбить парк, построить гостиницу, цирк, музей-диораму, сделав это место центром отдыха жителей и гостей города. Так в 70е годы появился великолепный городской парк с лиственными и хвойными деревьями, аллеями, лужайками и, разумеется, своим главным украшением - прудами с каскадами в окружении ивовых деревьев. Позднее на территории парка, слева от цирка были установлены аттракционы. Развитая инфраструктура сразу сделала парк одним из главных досуговых центров города.В настоящий период парк ежедневно посещают тысячи людей, здесь оборудованы места для отдыха, работает прокат лодок, имеется детская площадка, в центре нижнего пруда работает фонтан. В 2010 году между гостиницей и Диорамой, рядом с прудами появилась скульптура «Подкова счастья» и мощеная «Аллея счастья», куда каждый желающий может заказать вставку плиты со своей надписью. Одним из любимых занятий посетителей парка, и в первую очередь детей, является кормление уток и чаек. Птицы живут тут круглый год и даже зимой привлекают массу ребятишек и неизменно поднимают настроение всем посетителям, принимая иногда корм прямо из рук.Парк имени Кирова не оставит никого равнодушным, особенно в летнюю пору, когда он наполнен сочной зеленью, повсюду ухоженные клумбы и газоны, на аллеях стоят скамеечки с видом на пруд, окруженный ветвистыми ивами!
