that getting information is one of daily necessities of a human being. We can learn much about the world by reading newspapers and magazines, listening to the radio and by watching TV. So the people can't do without mass media — press, radio, television, and of course, the Internet. So as Winston Churchill said knowledge is power. That’s why, I would like to speak about influence of Internet in our life. Bad or Good? Internet is one of the most important kind of mass media it takes 16% of mass media.

Spam, lies, deceitfulness, and identity theft are all bad influences of the internet. Also, scores of vicious cyber-terrorists hack the government and civilian computers on the Internet in order to satisfy their own greedy needs. It’s not just hackers who have bad influences though. Innocent people such as teenagers have bad influences as well. Some will prove that the internet separates the young people from the real world. Sure they have access to news and all, but the internet doesn’t help the youngsters with their social skills. Nowadays, people tend to interact with their friends primarily online (Facebook, Twitter, MSN, MySpace, etc.) They are all friendly and nice on their Facebook chat, but when they meet each other in the hallway of their school, they don’t do anything more than saying, “Hi.” Teenagers can lose feeling of real life relationships and have difficulty communicating in reality.

году,поэтому я их так люблю.Два месяца я провела у родных,там прекрасное место,с речкой и лесом поблизости.В жаркие дни мы всё время были на речке,а вечером я и мой дядя ходили на рыбалку.А в августе,вместе с родителями и друзьями мы поехали на дачу.Там тоже вокруг была природа.Мы постоянно ходили на пляж,играли в игры а вечером жарили шашлыки.Когда мы приехали домой,я проводила время дома,занималась обычными делами и готовилась к школе.Мне понравилось,как я провела летние каникулы.

One means of transport that truly won the hearts of many Americans was the river steamboat. A steamboat, as its name indicates, is a boat that is powered by steam. The steam rotates a paddlewheel or propeller that in turn causes the boat to move forward.

In the 18th century, there were many attempts to build better vessels, but it wasn't until 1807 that the first successful steamboat, The Clermont, made a commercial voyage. These riverboats became popular in the next few years and were used to transport passengers and merchandise on the major rivers of America. The Mississippi River was especially known for its riverboats, and Mark Twain celebrated three steamboats in his book "Life on the Mississippi".

Steamboats have now disappeared from most American rivers, but they have become a symbol of the Mississippi River. Many people think of these boats when they hear the name Mississippi. Fortunately, a small number of them are being used today to offer river cruises so some people can get a feel of what it's like to travel by steamboat.
